Today we’re talking about what to do once you have made up your mind to start a business.
  • Now, you can begin thinking about how you will structure your business, your business address, whether you need a separate line for phone calls, how will you finance you business, will your business make money.
  • In essence what we will begin to do is walk you through the various sections of a business plan.  We will begin a series of podcast lessons on Creating Your Business Plan.  So, let’s get ready to do some planning!
  • First of all, it’s important for you to understand that there is no absolute outline for a business plan.  In other words, you may find different business plan outlines, but the good plans will all contain the same basic information.
  • For example, a summary, general business info, marketing info, organizational info & financial info.  While most business plans begin with an Executive Summary, we will begin our actual planning process in the second section of the Business Plan with what we’ll call, the Business Overview.
  • Our Business Overview will have four sections:  Description, History, Objectives combined with the Mission, and a Strategic Overview.  Listen as we explain each of these sections in our podcast.

FYI – Below are some online companies that offer services to incorporate your business.  We do not as of yet directly endorse these companies and therefore, as you know, did not mention them by name in our podcast.
